Defining beauty
November 7, 2014
Â
I believe the most beautiful woman is the one who revels in the full expression of who she is.
Â
When we come into contact with a woman so unapologetically present, it's impossible to pull eyes away. She is mesmerizing, irresistible.
Â
When I think of the dancers who have most indelibly captured my attention and admiration - it wasn't the fancy moves they did, or their sparking costumes. It didn't matter if she was a beginner, rocking the 3 moves she knew, or a master performer, deftly articulating intricate moves across the floor.
Â
What captures is her utter and total presence. The fullness of her expression. Grounded, present. Frankly and wildly alive.
Â
What struck me about these dancers was that - not that the audience was unimportant;Â she didn't scoff at or shun us - but:Â we were irrelevant.
Â
Although it is a privilege to witness a woman revel in her moment, she isn't doing it for you. She's doing it for herself.
Â
That for me is beauty.

What is your definition of beauty? I want to hear about it in the comments below.
